Spaghetti Pizza

I have been so obsessed with pizza this month and so I have been trying a lot of pizza recipes. Here’s one more that you can make from scratch- Pizza Spaghetti! No need to choose between spaghetti and pizza when you’ve got this recipe! It’ll combine both your favorites into one great dish! Also its a really smart way to use the leftover spaghetti from the night 😉 Here’s what you need for this :

Ingredients :
Spaghetti ( leftover or you may make fresh ) (150-200 gms )
Pizza cheese – grated ( mozzarella + cheddar )
Pizza/Pasta sauce ( 6-8  tbsp )
2 eggs
Olive oil ( 2 tbsp )
Some pizza seasoning ( 1-2 tsp )
Garlic powder ( 2 tsp )
Italian seasoning ( 1-2 tsp )
And of course…toppings of your choice!
And yes that’s it. Now this is a really simple and delicious recipe!

Directions :
Get the Spaghetti ready if you don’t have any leftover.
Fill a medium sized pot with water, some salt and about a teaspoon of olive oil and boil it. Now place the spaghetti into the pot so that its completely immersed into the water. Now cook for about 7-15 minutes, depending on your preference and the type of pasta and package directions. Drain the pasta and pour some cold water from above. Drain again.
Heat about 1-2 tbsp of olive oil in a pan and add the pizza/pasta( 5-6 tbsp ) sauce to it. Add about 2 tsp of garlic powder and 1-1/2 tsp of pizza seasoning. Add the spaghetti to this. Cook for 2-3 minutes and remove from heat. Set it aside to cool.


Meanwhile prepare your toppings. I used cherry tomatoes, red and yellow bell peppers and some basil leaves.
Preheat the oven to 325 F.
When the spaghetti cools down, crack the eggs into it and mix well.

 Into the same pan, add this mixture.

Cook for 2-5 minutes on low so that the egg gets cooked from the bottom. Now cover the handle of the pan with aluminium foil and put the pan into the oven on broil mode for about 6-8 minutes until you see that the egg is cooked from the top as well and forms a firm base.

 Now that’s the pizza base. Once it cools, spread some more pizza/pasta ( 1-2 ) tbsp sauce onto this base ( you can also use pesto sauce ) and add your toppings to it.

 Finally add the grated cheese on top and put it into the oven again until the cheese melts and it gets a little bubbly (for about 3-5 minutes ). And there you go! Your Spaghetti pizza is ready to cut and serve!
