The best part about baking cookies is licking the batter off the spoon, isn’t it? I cannot resist the urge to do so, but the thought of eating the raw egg in it terrifies me 😕 But what if I tell you that you can make edible chocolate chip cookie dough, which is not only safe to eat but can also be used as a filling for many other desserts? This recipe comes together in minutes, and because it is egg free, it is completely safe to eat except for one little thing I would like to mention, you should no eat large amounts of raw flour, as it upsets your stomach, but a little bit now and then is just fine.
Unsalted Butter ( 2 tbsp ) ( softened at room temperature )
Peanut Butter ( 2tbsp ) – you can replace this with normal butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup milk
` cup all purpose flour
And chocolate chips ( to your heart’s content )
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp Nutella – Optional
Whisk together the sugars and the butters until you get a soft creamy texture.
I also add nutella after this just because I like it when its extra chocolaty. But you can omit it if you don’t want to. Also the peanut butter can be replaced by normal butter.
Now add in your milk and mix it well so that it all comes together.
Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract and sift in your flour. Mix everything well until you get a doughy consistency.
Now throw in as many chocolate chips your want and mix everything.
And that’s it. You’ve done it!
This can be frozen for upto 3 months.Divide it into small portions and thaw whenever you need it. It can also be used as toppings for ice cream, filling for desserts etc!
I used it to make Chocolate Chip Stuffed Oreos. This was ultimate! Oreos are my all time favourite cookies!
